National Science Day - 2025
Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT)
One of the world's most powerful radio telescopes operating at low radio frequencies, the ORT has been built and is operated by NCRA-TIFR under the control of DAE, Govt. of India. The ORT Observatory also conducts various programs to promote science and technology among the general public, with a special focus on students.
National Science Day
National Science Day is celebrated at the Radio Astronomy Centre on 28th February every year.
Grand Science Exhibition - 28th February 2025
Schools and colleges (Science, ITI, Diploma, and Engineering Colleges) are invited to exhibit their best projects. Prizes will be awarded to the best entries in various categories. No participation fee is required.
Project Guidelines:
- Projects must include a working model on any educational/technical theme, along with related information sheets for display.
- Each institution can send two best projects selected by the Principal/Head.
- Maximum two students per project will be allowed.
- Appropriate stalls & electrical points will be provided.
